About the Certificate in Grammar and Writing Course
About the class
Grammar and Writing Class is for learners of pre-intermediate or intermediate level. The class will focus on the most important points of grammar at intermediate level such as the perfect verb tenses, adjectives and adverbs, conditionals, and modals. The class will also cover some grammatical vocabulary such as prepositions and phrasal verbs.
The writing portion of the class will focus on the steps of the writing process in various applications, such as reports, emails, and letters. Students will learn to organize the elements of their writing such as topic sentences, supporting details, and signal words. They'll practice skills such as comparing and contrasting, describing, analyzing data, letter and email writing, and summarizing.
Suitable for both working adults and students, Ascend's Grammar and Writing Class will give learners the skills they need to communicate clearly and be successful both in and out of the classroom.

 Tim Green,
is from the UK. He recently qualified as a CELTA teacher here in Singapore. Tim believes in building a good rapport with his students and making his lessons as interactive as possible to encourage life-long learning. He enjoys helping students to improve their English and finds it enormously rewarding to see students developing their skills. Tim previously worked for a British Member of Parliament for nearly 12 years as Office Manager and Senior Research Assistant, and holds a Master’s degree in Politics from Birkbeck College, University of London. |
