Fee Protection Scheme
The Fee Protection Scheme (FPS) serves to protect students' fees in the event of the Centre being unable to continue operations due to insolvency, and /or regulatory closure. Furthermore, the FPS protects the student if the Centre fails to pay penalties or return fees to the student arising from judgments made against it by the Singapore courts. EduTrust certified institutes must protect the total fees paid by all students via Escrow or Fee Insurance provided by appointed service providers. Ascend Education Centre has an insurance facility with HSBC to Protect its students course fees.

Course
Purpose of the Course
The purpose of this course is to build learners’ confidence and fluency in spoken communication.
About the Class
- Listening and speaking skills are taught.
- Interesting and fascinating topics related to students’ culture, work and background are introduced and discussed.
- Vocabulary building exercises prepare learners to discuss topics.
- Some grammar practice for conversational purposes.
- Extensive listening practice.
- There are students from various countries.
About the Teaching Approach
- Teachers inspire and provide active support for students in class
- Teachers lead discussions and provide appropriate vocabulary and sentence structure.
- Teachers employ communication games that improve speaking and listening skills.
- Teachers correct students when necessary.
- Teachers use audio CDs to show how English is used in practice.
