One-to-one English Coaching

Overview

This is the perfect flexible solution for learners who want to engage a professionally qualified English language coach to help them in an area or areas of English they wish to focus on. On top of that, learners also get to plan their own lesson schedule in conjunction with the coach.

Our Coaches

We offer flexible one-to-one private coaching packages with our trained, qualified and professional coaches to suit your needs. Our coaches are committed to Ascend Education Centre, since we share the same values and understand the need for high standards of professionalism in delivering our coaching service. We ensure that all our coaches will have considerable previous teaching experience, hold at least a qualification relevant to teaching English language to adults such as the CELTA, TEFL, TESOL or a Diploma/Degree/Master’s degree in Applied Linguistics.

Areas of Coaching

We customize our private coaching based on your individual needs. We have trained learners of all ages in pronunciation, presentation skills, conversation skills, grammar and writing, business English, email writing, report writing, thesis writing and test preparation.
  • Academic English: IELTS/TOEFL/PTE/Academic Writing/Thesis writing/Essay Assignments
  • Business English: Business Presentations/Business Writing
  • Social English: Pronunciation/Speaking/Grammar
  • Young Learners: Children of primary to secondary school age whose first language is not English

Our Coaching Packages

In the table below are the hourly packages we offer for private coaching. Please note that each coaching session must be a minimum of one hour per session whether in class or on zoom. For zoom classes we recommend that the duration of one class does not exceed 90 minutes. And for face-to-face we recommend that 2 hours is sufficient per session.

We do recommend that one-to-one coaching sessions are conducted at our centre where we have our extensive learning resources and bespoke classrooms. It is also possible to arrange classes on zoom. Although it is possible to organize classes outside of the centre, please take note that if you wish your coach to travel to your office or other premises, there will be an additional transportation fee of a minimum $20 per trip. We will advise you of the transport cost upon confirmation.

1- Complete the below application form and indicate your preferred package; location; timing and focus.

 

2- Our staff will contact you and seek clarification if required. It will take us five working days to source for a suitable coach.

3- Once we have sourced for a suitable coach, we will send you the profile of the coach. Then you will be asked to confirm that the coach profile matches your need. It is possible to arrange to meet the coach on zoom for a short 15-minute introductory meeting.

4- Once you are happy with the coach and the program outlined we will confirm the lesson schedule and then you can make payment.
5- Payment of the coaching fee is to be made in full for the chosen hourly package upon registration. Payment can be made by Pay Now, Nets, Credit Card or Cash
6- All payment must be done before the start of the first lesson.
7- Should you be unable to attend a lesson, a mandatory 24-hour notice period is required for non-medical reasons and a mandatory 4-hour notice period is required for medical reasons. Failure to provide sufficient notice to your coach will result in the forfeiture of the cancelled lesson.
8- Rescheduled Sessions: Any rescheduled session must be conducted within the agreed time frame of the coaching package. Failure to do so will result in the forfeit of the lessons.
9- Student particulars in the application and registration forms are used solely for administration and internal marketing. Student particulars will not be divulged to external third parties unless Ascend Education Centre Pte Ltd is requested by a government agency to do so.
